Handlebar Snack Pack: RENEW
I’ve been thinking about buying a handlebar snackpack for years. Finally took the plunge and wish I had done it years ago. It is the most convenient, comfortable and user friendly bag ever. It’s now my go to bag even if I’m not on the bike!
overall I find the handlebar snack bag a semi useful piece of kit for my bike for carrying a rain jacket, water but there are a few annoying things.
Firstly I bought it with the idea that I could keep a thermos of hot water upright but because of the way it attaches to my handler the bag ends up more horizontal than verticals so anything liquid that is not sealed spills.
Second the clasp on the front whilst looking stylish functions well to open and close but is difficult to tighten when the bag is in place on my handle bar.
Also I’m never sure what to do with the elastic bits when I take the bag off my bike - leave them on the bike or on the bag?
Bag purchased to carry small items for commute to gym (towel, keys, phone, etc). This bag is bigger than the canvas snack pack and has a separate rear compartment accessed via rear zip, rather than the single compartment and rear zip of the other model. Once again great quality.
Bag carried courier style and not attached to handlebars.
Thanks
I now have nine bags from Framework Designs ranging from small pouches to a Sight-Seeker and a Haul-All. These are certainly not the cheapest bags, but I don't want cheap, I want quality. I prefer canvas to laminated synthetic fabrics, and as I'm an all-weather cycle commuter I want things that will perform and last in all conditions (still have and use WE canvas panniers that are 30years old). I'm very happy with the snack pack and am sure it will last for years.
